Frequently asked questions

What is GG?

GG is a social network for video game players. You post your clips and gaming moments, follow your friends and the games you're into, and talk with their communities.

Is GG free?

Yes. Creating an account, posting, following players and chatting on GG is free.

What can I post on GG?

Clips, images, text and gaming moments such as a personal best, an achievement or a win streak. Every post is tied to a game.

What does “GG” mean?

“Good game”. It's also the main reaction on GG: giving a post a GG means well played.

How do game pages work?

Every game has a page with players' posts, discussion topics, news and community reviews. Verified studios can post there.

Can I make my profile private?

Yes. With a private profile, only followers you approve see your posts and your library. You can also block, mute and report.

How is it different from Discord or Twitch?

Discord is for live chat, Twitch for streaming. On GG, your clips, games and reviews stay visible on your profile and on each game's page.

Which devices can I use GG on?

GG works in the browser, on desktop and on mobile.

I'm a studio: how do I manage my game's page?

Contact the GG team on our Discord. Once your studio is verified, you can post announcements and updates on the game's page.
